How is Colorful Systems different from Semrush, Palmata or Salesforce?
Semrush counts how often AI tools mention you; Palmata reports how ChatGPT and Gemini describe you and suggests changes. Salesforce and HubSpot keep track of your customers and deals. Each is software your team pays for and runs. Colorful Systems’ forward-deployed engineers work inside your business to build your website, follow-up, automations and dashboard, then run them with you.

Is Colorful Systems like Semrush or Palmata?
Semrush and Palmata report on what AI tools say about you. Semrush’s AI Visibility Toolkit tracks 25 prompts a day and counts how often ChatGPT, Google AI, Gemini and Perplexity mention you.1 Semrush has been part of Adobe since April 28, 2026.4 Contentful launched Palmata in June 2026,5 and Salesforce has sold it since buying Contentful, a deal completed on September 1, 2026.6 Palmata researches how ChatGPT and Gemini describe a brand, recommends changes and simulates their likely effect.7
The changes are where the work is. AI tools name the businesses they can find and trust: a site they can read, a Google Business Profile and listings that match, and reviews and mentions elsewhere. Every customer funnel we build includes the site, your Google Business Profile and listings, and review requests after each job, and our monthly report shows where AI recommends you.
AI answers also change from one ask to the next. When we asked ChatGPT “AI automation agency Tampa” twice on October 6, 2026, its answers listed six and eight businesses, and only five appeared in both. Our guide has the rest of that check and eight steps toward getting named.
Do I need a CRM like Salesforce or HubSpot?
A CRM (customer relationship management software) is a shared record of every customer: who they are, what they bought, every call and email, and what happens next. Salesforce and HubSpot both sell one. It pays off when a sales team shares one pipeline and someone keeps it running, because a CRM records what your team does and follows up only after someone sets up the rules.
That someone is a real cost. Salesforce’s help article puts a company with 1 to 30 users at less than one full-time admin and 31 to 74 users at one or more. In a small business, it says, the admin role takes about half a person’s time while Salesforce is set up and 10 to 25 percent after launch.11 Paid seats also sit idle: across all the software companies buy, Zylo, which tracks company software spending, found 36 percent of licenses unused in its 2026 index.15
We start from the work instead. We sit with your team and map how it gets done, then automate anything done more than three times, with a person in the loop, and put it in Mission Control, one dashboard and knowledge base for the business. If you already pay for Salesforce or HubSpot, we work with it, and it stays your record of customers and deals.
What do you keep if you stop working with us?
You own what we build: the website, the automations, the accounts they run in and the data in them. Salesforce’s contract runs the other way. Its standard terms renew for another year unless you give 30 days’ notice, its fees can’t be canceled or refunded, and you can’t lower your number of users partway through a term.10
Which one fits my business?
- Semrush, when someone on your team works on search every week and wants the data.
- Palmata, when a marketing team wants research on how AI describes the brand and will make the changes itself.
- Salesforce or HubSpot, when your sales team is big enough to share one pipeline and you have someone to run it.
- Colorful Systems, when you want engineers to build the work inside your business and run it with you.
You can use one of these tools and work with us too: we work with the CRM you already pay for. How we work covers the four steps we take with every business: Listen, Map, Build and Run it with you.
Questions
Is Colorful Systems a CRM?
No. We build the website, follow-up, automations and dashboard a business runs on, and work with your CRM if you have one. Mission Control, the dashboard we build, keeps your team’s work in one place, and your CRM stays your record of customers and deals.
What is Palmata?
Palmata is an AI visibility tool that researches how ChatGPT and Gemini describe a brand and recommends content changes. Contentful launched it in June 2026, and Salesforce has sold it since buying Contentful, a deal completed on September 1, 2026. Its Growth plan is $600 a month, billed monthly.
Can Semrush get my business recommended by ChatGPT?
Semrush’s AI Visibility Toolkit shows how often ChatGPT, Google AI, Gemini and Perplexity mention you, for $99 a month per domain. Getting named takes changes: a site AI tools can read, matching listings, and reviews and mentions elsewhere. Every customer funnel we build includes the site, your Google Business Profile and listings, and review requests after each job.
Can you work with our Salesforce or HubSpot?
Yes. We work with the CRM you already use, and it stays your record of customers and deals.
Who owns what you build?
You do: the website, the automations, the accounts they run in and the data in them. If you stop working with us, they stay with you.
